This
page is about our family. First off, I will start by telling you
for many years, (14 1/2) I LOVED being a military spouse! Yes, of
course, the days alone could get pretty lonely, but you have to get used
to it, and of course, it DOES make one better at being self-sufficient,
which I have found to be INVALUABLE!!!

| Let
me begin by telling you a little bit about our family. My name is Cindy,
and I own my own part time business doing web
page design, and computer instruction. I also work full time as a
Manager at Hardee's, (a food chain owned by Boddie Noell
Enterprises out of Rocky Mount, NC).
My
husband, David, a Gulf War Veteran, is a Corrections Officer at a local
regional jail. We have been married for almost 24 years. In
some ways it doesn't really seem that long, since probably most of our marriage
was spent apart, due to deployments and separations. It
hasn't been all "peaches and cream", but through it all, we
have managed to stay together.
Nathan,
my oldest son passed away 7 years ago in February, 2003,
just 10 days shy of his 20th birthday. Before he died, he and his
fiancée had a son, Tyler.
He just turned 7 years old in December, and is cute as a button, but of course,
I am a bit biased!
Rachel,
my only daughter, is 21. She graduated in 2008 from
Middlesex High School. While there, she was a member of the Color
Guard Team, Choir, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She
recently became certified as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant, and is
pursuing an education to become a Registered Nurse. She was
married in March 2009 to Edward Follin.
D.
J., my youngest, is 20 and is a member of the Armed
Forces, having joined the Virginia National Guard. He was on the High School
Cross Country Team, Wrestling Team, Band, FCA (Fellowship of Christian
Athletes), Varsity Soccer, Academic Challenge, Advanced Choir, and a
member of the Y-Street Team. He loves being outdoors, but also loves playing video games.
